Aisling Irish Whiskey
For this product design project, we were asked to choose a food product tied to our personal heritage. I chose Irish whiskey, since I am Irish and it’s always been a staple at our family gatherings. I wanted to create a brand with a mystical, folklore-inspired theme, specifically focusing on shapeshifting legends. One of my main inspirations was the Púca, a well-known shapeshifter from Irish mythology, often appearing as a black animal with a wild mane that brings chaos and mischief. I chose the name Aisling because that is the irish term for vision or dream. Which goes well with my theme of fantasy and mythology. Also the idea of when you drink sometimes you go into a dream like state of mind.
